Job responsibilities:
- Execute software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine and conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Create secure high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Develop and maintain high-quality user interfaces for web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript and React
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into interactive and responsive user interfaces
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and usability
- Write clean and maintained code while adhering to best practices and coding standards
- Conduct code reviews
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
- Proven experience as a UI Developer with a strong portfolio of work
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with React
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive design principles
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as Jest and Playwright
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Familiarity with frontend build tools, such as Vite
- Experience with performance optimisation techniques and tools
