As an Associate Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Platform Experience, you are the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. Job responsibilities:

  • Execute software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine and conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Create secure high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Develop and maintain high-quality user interfaces for web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript and React
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into interactive and responsive user interfaces
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and usability
  • Write clean and maintained code while adhering to best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
  • Proven experience as a UI Developer with a strong portfolio of work
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with React
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive design principles
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as Jest and Playwright

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Proficiency in TypeScript
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools, such as Vite
  • Experience with performance optimisation techniques and tools
