As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Utilizes technical expertise and problem-solving techniques to enhance large-scale system operations, while ensuring comprehensive monitoring of operating systems.
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path.
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems.
- Drives the daily activities supporting the standard incident resolution process.
- Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential stability and capacity risks and govern remediation statuses.
- Handles major incidents, conducts root cause analysis, and implements scheduled changes within the Linux infrastructure.
- Maintains the overall health of the system and oversees risk management and control measures in the environment.
- Hands on knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools.
- Strong knowledge of React and its ecosystem.
- Experience with Java and Python programming languages.
- Hands-on full stack development experience using React/Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Solid understanding of Java design patterns and data structures.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Understanding of database management and SQL.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Proficiency in modern front-end technologies, Java 17 or higher, Python, and containerization technologies like Docker, with experience in Databricks, data analytics, and AI/ML.
- Strong ability to collaborate with user experience designers and product owners, adapt to fast-paced environments, and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
