Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Design and implement scalable microservices-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction and backend architecture.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of backend services and data.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in AWS environments and cloud-based solutions.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, and platform teams.

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
