DESCRIPTION:

Duties: This position is for the North America blotters and tickets software engineering lead. Design, develop and implement efficient and effective software solutions tailored to the macro fixed income and derivatives markets. Efficiently solve business problems through innovation and strategic engineering practices applying advanced fixed income, rates and derivatives financial instrument knowledge. Ability to efficiently execute in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Timely identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. Ensure solutions are closely aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Perform design reviews and create ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Lead project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and the technology team to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Lead a team of technologists and deliver software solutions to front and middle office teams trading in the macro markets timely and effectively. Work closely with the heads of the trading and sales desks to deliver new software features.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience with the following: Python; React JS; Javascript; Typescript; GraphQL; NoSQL Databases; advanced object oriented software engineering principles; agile and scrum methodologies; team management and leadership; macro financial markets; fixed income strategies; and rates and derivatives financial instruments such as repurchase agreements, swaps, options, forwards, futures, bonds, interest rates caps and floors, matched maturity, invoice spreads, butterflies, curves, or bond rolls.

Full-Time. Salary: $180,000 - $215,000 per year.
