DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, IT Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: designing and developing applications using micro app architecture principles including single page application (SPA) frameworks, specifically React, Angular, JavaScript, and Typescript; working with HTML5, CSS3, and precompilers including SASS and LESS; building applications that utilize JSON- or XML-formatted data files or service payloads for data transfer; and version control systems such as Git or SVN. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) including delivering system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability; front-end engineering principles including component-based architecture, state management, and responsive design; performance tuning and optimization of front-end applications; architecting and developing digital ecosystems, balancing client-side and server-side for a highly responsive user interface; mentoring junior developers through code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical leadership; collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall system performance using experience with web frameworks; creating micro front end applications in AWS environment; using React for creating interactive UI's, Virtual DOM, JSX, and React Router ecosystem; asynchronous operations using libraries such as Axios and RxJS; automation with Automated Functional Testing; Test Driven Development (TDD); Agile methodologies such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Application Security, Application Resiliency, and Scrum; Agile tools JIRA and Confluence; web standards and front-end engineering tools including Node.js, NextJS, and GraphQL; and modern front-end build tools and libraries including ESBuild, Rollup, and Vite.
