DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Provide technical guidance to team members in resolving their technical problems. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Lead project planning sessions with project managers, product teams, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Re-engineer legacy platforms, design and develop code to migrate applications to new architecture without affecting current business functions. This requires in-depth knowledge of the existing legacy platforms, very good analytical and technical skill. Should have experience in understanding requirement related to extraction, transformation, and loading of data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Project Lead, Systems Specialist, or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Project Lead, Systems Specialist, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: Designing and developing ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) jobs using Informatica with complex advanced features; Performing automation using UNIX; Utilizing advanced techniques to process large data sets using multithreading and multiprocessing in AWS Cloud Services, Snowflake, Machine Learning, SAS and Tableau; Performing data manipulation, data structuring and query optimization using Python; Executing complex SQLs against Hadoop, Hive, Oracle, Teradata, DB2; Using Agile practice, SDLC, Application & Architecture disciplines; and Code check-in and promotion process using GIT.
