Site Security Manager - Global Security - Associate

As a Site Security Manager in Global Security, you will oversee the 24/7 management of security operations for our Scotland-based buildings. You will lead daily safety and security operations, manage contract guard forces, and implement strategic security plans. Your role is crucial in ensuring the protection of our personnel, physical properties, and financial assets. Together, we will build strong networks and collaborative relationships both within the firm and with external partners.
The advertised role covers Monday-Friday daytime physical security management. Working hours are subject to operational requirements, and the preferred candidate will be expected to have a degree of flexibility. The position will be based at our offices in Edinburgh, Scotland, however, depending on business requirements, some duties may be required in Glasgow, Scotland.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily management of JP Morgan Chase's security guarding vendor team, including staff training and testing maintaining a strong relationship with the guard force vendor.
- Ensure protection of personnel, properties, and assets.
- Analyse security needs and implement measures.
- Provide health and safety support.
- Support crisis management efforts.
- Lead project management initiatives.
- Supporting technical security infrastructures.
- Support event security and executive protection.
- Ensure controls and oversight are in place.
- Liaise with law enforcement.
- Coordinate with senior management for risk identification.
- Perform additional duties or projects as directed by EMEA GS Senior Managers
- Support of finance reports and invoicing.
- Focus on continuous improvement in security practices.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Proficient in physical and technical security systems.
- Skilled in site risk assessments and security measures.
- Experience managing manned guarding contracts.
- Experience in executive protection and event security.
- Knowledge of staff safety and security operations.
- Familiarity with local health and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage tasks in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in emergency response and crisis management.
- Proficient in MS Office with excellent PC skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong administrative skills.
- Effective communicator, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
