As an Equipment Finance Territory Manager in Capital Advisory Solutions, you are primarily responsible for identifying, structuring, pricing, and closing complex finance transactions for existing bank clients and prospects in our Government, Higher-Ed, Healthcare, and Not-For-Profit Vertical across the assigned territory.

Equipment Finance works with clients in all lines of business within the Commercial Bank to provide customized equipment financing solutions. We have extensive knowledge covering a wide range of asset types, including - but not limited to - trucking, manufacturing, medical, aircraft, rail, and marine. Equipment Finance provides tax-advantaged and conventional equipment financing solutions including but not limited to: True Lease; Customized fixed and floating rate loans, including tax-exempt options; Conditional Sales Agreement; Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause (TRAC) Lease; and Synthetic Lease.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Commercial Bankers and Credit Partners from multiple areas of the firm to finance equipment for selected government, healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit clients/prospects in a tax-effective, efficient, and low-cost manner for the assigned territory.
  • Facilitate relationships with Commercial Bank Credit Managers and Teams within assigned market coverage responsibilities.
  • Work closely with assigned Equipment Finance Associate to meet new volume and revenue objectives effectively and efficiently for the assigned coverage territory.
  • Provide in-depth education to Commercial Bankers on Equipment Finance products and processes, specifically tailored to the needs of government, healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Perform portfolio reviews with all assigned Commercial Bankers and, in conjunction with their own market knowledge, identify preferred prospects within the GHHN sectors.
  • Act as Equipment Finance subject matter expert in Bank Market meetings. Provide timely feedback and business activity results to Market Managers.
  • Have strong knowledge of overall Bank product offerings within the firm to help assist with client/prospect referrals to other product groups or lines of business when appropriate alternatives are identified.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Travel is required.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Ten plus years of experience in equipment financing or equipment leasing sales, with a focus on government, healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Expert knowledge of lease finance products as well as industry standards and regulations.
  • Expert knowledge of tax-exempt appropriation obligations, government procurement and approval processes, and responding to RFPs.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, negotiating, and credit skills.
  • Ability to excel within a team sales approach.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to drive both strategic and tactical efforts as necessary.
  • Firm grasp of Present Value calculations, financial analysis, and lease/finance pricing models.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience required (in an equipment finance-focused role).
