The IAM Infrastructure Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for the comprehensive management of JPMorgan Chase's enterprise-wide Authentication and Authorization solutions. This role encompasses strategic release planning, communications management, and deployment, with a strong focus on cross-line-of-business collaboration to ensure secure, timely, and compliant implementation of IAM initiatives globally. Additionally, the role involves assisting with program deliverable tracking on major initiatives and vendor management by collaborating with technologists, regulators, and third parties as needed. In this high-impact role, you can step up as a tech leader and innovator by providing your knowledge and mentorship to infrastructure engineers and operate team. Lead teams towards excellence and demonstrate your skills as a leader. Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters to determine appropriate actions to bring these issues to a resolution.

Job responsibilities:

  • Strategic Solutions Release Planning & Coordination: Spearhead the strategic planning and coordination of IAM software releases, including meticulous scheduling, sequencing, and deployment. Collaborate closely with technologists and the operations teams across various lines of business to ensure seamless integration and minimal business disruption. Foster readiness across all teams and ensure that the planning and coordination of IAM software releases are directly aligned with the broader organizational goals and business strategies
  • Change Management and Risk Mitigation: Oversee comprehensive change management processes, ensuring thorough documentation and managing final approvals. Work collaboratively with technologists to proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring smooth release cycles with well-defined backout plans.
  • Communication and Issue Resolution: Serve as the central point of contact for all release communications, facilitating stakeholder meetings and providing regular updates on release progress. Collaborate with technologists and the operations team to resolve conflicts, remove blockers, and manage dependencies across business units.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and executives, providing regular updates on release status, risks, and impacts. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure successful release outcomes and secure necessary support and resources.
  • Quality Assurance: Partner with QA teams and technologists to ensure that all releases meet stringent quality standards. Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in quality assurance practices.
  • Governance & Compliance: Enforce adherence to security, regulatory, and audit standards throughout release cycles, leveraging established governance frameworks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the release management lifecycle.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on release status and performance.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Over 10+ years of experience with general IT Project Management processes, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Experienced in release planning, change management, and deployment, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions during project rollouts.
  • Skilled in working on agile projects utilizing Scrum methodologies, with a strong ability to manage risks and issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong collaboration abilities.
  • Demonstrated managerial experience with a successful track record of leading teams and managing essential functions, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Proficient in quality assurance standards and diverse reporting methodologies, ensuring high-quality project deliverables and transparent communication of release status.
  • Proactive in proposing and implementing process improvements, continuously seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
