The J.P. Morgan Private Bank events team is seeking a Senior Event Planner for the Latin America and Global Families Group region playing a key role in event strategy, bringing creative ideas, suggested venues and proposed content to the market with considerable thought to strategic execution.
As a Vice President Senior Event Planner, on the J.P.Morgan Private Bank team, you will interact with colleagues on the global events team, a wide range of front office colleagues, senior management and product partners, ensuring a consistent and distinctive experience. In addition, you will work on multiple event projects simultaneously, ranging from large events to intimate roundtable dinner discussions, both in-person and virtual experiences. You may be required to work outside of regular business hours and travel frequently.

Job Responsibilities
- Understand business objectives and develop an event strategy that supports business goals
- Create high-touch events consistent with J.P. Morgan Private Bank brand standards
- Enhance data and budget management, prioritize tasks, and boost operational efficiencies.
- Navigate key Latin American cities, venues, vendors, and cultural nuances
- Collaborate with other lines of business to leverage cross-sell event opportunities.
- Influence stake holders in order to keep projects on track and in line with regional strategy
- Negotiate with event venues and vendors to maximize budget allocations.
- Think strategically and problem solve, offering creative solutions with business acumen.
- Multi-task and work under tight deadlines, providing prompt and clear responses.
- Participate in frequent events team and business meetings, providing updates as needed
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years of prior experience in event management related activities
- Portuguese and/or Spanish language skills a must
- Exemplary oral/written communications and interpersonal skills
- Solid project management experience
- Extremely detailed oriented
- Availability to work late hours and travel internationally on a regular basis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & SharePoint sites
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Willingness to learn, adapt and have a positive and professional attitude at all times
- Skilled at handling difficult personalities and able to liaise with senior management on a regular basis
- Prior experience in financial services a plus
