Securitized Products Group (SPG) is looking to hire an Analyst based in Beijing or Shanghai to support the team in its Asia ABS origination and execution efforts. SPG is a private-side, client-facing business area that markets, structures, finances and distributes bonds and loans backed by a range of collateral types. This team works with a wide selection of clients, including corporates, NBFIs, Fintech companies, banks, and other financial institutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Marketing/Origination: The role will assist the team in identifying SPG business opportunities and pitching to, and negotiating with, SPG's clients in partnership with Market Sales, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking Coverage, Debt Capital Markets etc.
- Structuring: Once a mandate has been awarded, the role will be assisting with the transaction structuring and execution. As a general matter, this may include detailed quantitative and analytical analysis; cash flow modelling; commercial terms negotiation; and review of legal documentation. Team members interact with a range of external parties including credit rating agencies, transaction sponsors, lawyers, auditing firms, co-arrangers, and co-placement agents.
- Financing: The role will support originating, evaluating and executing opportunities for J.P. Morgan to act as lender to SPG clients in Asia; often this includes analytical risk analysis, extensive commercial negotiation with clients, preparing materials and coordinate internal risk and underwriting approvals
- Distribution: The role might also liaise with J.P. Morgan's Syndicate team and Sales force, who are tasked with identifying institutional investors interested to purchase the bonds/loans created by the SPG Originations team - both in APAC and globally

Required Qualifications:
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive; strong teamwork skills and ability to work with stakeholders in multi-cultural environments
- 1-2 years of relevant front office experience, ideally in securitization sector
- Extremely proficient in quantitative/data analysis; strong MS Excel skill is a must; proficiency with MS PowerPoint and MS Word
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; strong written and verbal communication skills
