Securities Services Product Management - Custody Product Manager - Associate

This role is within Custody Core Product's Market Management team. The successful candidate will own market change in the Americas region and support the implementation of the subcustodian provider strategy globally. The role involves collaboration with Custody Product teams and multiple stakeholders across the business globally. This role will be based out of New York and is part of the broader Securities Services team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of GC Product's network strategic priorities - drive implementation of the subcustodian provider strategy in region and assist in the negotiation of the uplift of subcustodian legal agreements.
  • Assess the priority and impact of market driven change - attend pipeline discussions and act as escalation point in any project working groups.
  • Drive market expansion - partner with Network Management to understand potential new market feasibility.
  • Pursue efficiencies in the network oversight process - streamline GC Core Product involvement in the ongoing risk assessment and annual FAR process.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the markets according to assigned region - including market developments, the regulatory landscape and staying close to any advocacy through participation in appropriate industry forums.
  • Understand expense discipline and how efficiencies can be delivered - work with team SME on understanding agent fees, the global rate card and the 2025 and beyond targets.
  • Improve operating model - work with key stakeholders to enhance the system functionality around the application of sanctions and restrictions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience with a sound academic record.
  • Knowledge of the custody flow and the operating model and systems.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, amongst others, to communicate and present information.
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work with many different individuals and partner effectively with different groups.
  • Strong focus on business outcomes and ability to influence different teams to deliver business results.
  • Communication and presentation skills with a capability to deliver concise clear messages.
  • Strong ability to decipher and present information.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a globally disparate team.
