Securities Services - Agency Securities Finance Product Manager, Executive Director

Agency Securities Finance is an investment overlay strategy that enhances the intrinsic value of a portfolio of securities, to provide clients with opportunities to generate incremental income on their assets.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand product capabilities and existing business model, to establish both short and long-term product development plan for the Agency Securities Finance business in the APAC region. Consider industry, client, counterparty, competition, digital, operational and regulatory opportunities and threats when determining development plan.
  • Involvement with the day-to-day management and execution of strategy for the Agency Securities Finance product.
  • Lead business impact assessments for APAC related changes in collaboration with local, regional & global functional partners.
  • Effectively lead opportunity assessments and other internal approval processes (including NBIA or Change Mgmt) for new products impacting the APAC region.
  • Work closely with local, regional & global functional partners.
  • Promote product development to client facing teams and other internal partners, including where needed, the creation of client materials and, where appropriate, direct client engagement.
  • Participation in relevant regional industry groups (e.g PASLA) and market consultations in relation to regulatory matters. This will include leading discussions and working to influence outcomes.
  • Represent Agency Securities Finance on behalf of J.P. Morgan at both wider internal regional regulatory forums, and with external clients in relation to regulation and product updates
  • Represent Agency Securities Finance Product at internal new deal forums, reviewing non-standard requirements and impacts from an APAC perspective.
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the team you are responsible for.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge and prior experience of the securities lending product and industry
  • Proven track record in project management and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to work with management at all levels and build a strong network throughout the firm.
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, work effectively as a team and both independently, to strict deadlines.
  • People management experience.
  • Strong problem- solving skills; must be able to propose solutions and recommendations and think creatively and 'out of the box'.
