Relationship Management Sr. Associate

The Relationship Management Sr. Associate plays a critical role in bridging marketing strategy and execution within the Card Marketing Activation and Transformation (CMAT) organization. As part of the Activation team, you will serve as the day-to-day relationship owner for a defined area of marketing strategy, ensuring seamless alignment between strategic priorities and execution readiness.

You will work closely with both strategy marketing partners (external to the CMAT team) and internal execution and transformation partners, driving transparency, surfacing risks, and enabling smoother campaign activation.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact for a specific marketing team (e.g. customer marketing, brand, cobrand, acquisition), ensuring alignment across strategy, CMAT (Card Marketing Activation and Transformation), and downstream partners
  • Build strong relationships with strategy marketing stakeholders while collaborating closely with internal execution and transformation teams
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to establish partnership health dashboards and metrics, providing clear narrative insights and recommendations
  • Identify bottlenecks and risks that impact campaign activation and work across teams to develop solutions and communicate impacts
  • Contribute to cross-area initiatives (e.g. automation tools, new processes, reporting improvements) that strengthen execution across the organization
  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements that enhance effectiveness across marketing execution
  • Stay current on new capabilities, tools, and processes, helping educate partners on their implications for campaign planning and execution
  • Communicate effectively with senior leaders, distilling complex issues into clear, concise updates and recommendations
  • Learn and support across other business units as needed, developing a broad understanding of how marketing strategy partnerships operate and flexing into adjacent workstreams with priority shifts

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of business experience, minimum 2 years of relationship management
  • Thrives in ambiguity and able to create structure and process from blank space
  • Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Experience in marketing operations, marketing strategy, project/program management, or consulting
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders in both written and verbal formats
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environment with flexibility to navigate ebbs and flows of workload
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to operate independently, adapt to ambiguity, and ramp up quickly
  • Creative and proactive mindset for identifying process improvements and driving adoption
