As a member of the Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) team, you will be responsible for the calculation and reporting of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) for FED regulatory requirements. Each day, you will work within the Regulatory Segment Code team to determine counterparty classifications and support accurate regulatory reporting, including RWA calculations.
Job responsibilities
- Maintain counterparty classification based on internal guidelines
- Perform research on counterparties from various sources , understand nature of business, make data updates withing specific timelines
- Compare and contrast differences between Industry classification records , highlight and escalate any discrepancies
- Work with stakeholders to resolve exceptions and obtain approvals where necessary
- Collect data from various sources , ensuring data quality and integrity. Document process flows, SOPs, Track and update changes and analyze changes in a timely manner and consistence with Firm's standards
- Drive Process improvements and implement process changes as necessary
- Proactively highlight potential issues to management
- Be flexible to multitask and effectively manage priorities across the wider function
- Support an effective and efficient team through continuous communication, timely feedback, and appropriate practices
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced/ time sensitive environment to support a team In conjunction with manager and consistent with overall department objectives, establish and execute on annual development goals
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Able to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
- Able to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Comfortable liaising with onshore teams and other remote Team members
- Strong core finance technical skills and solid understanding of finance processes, infrastructure and systems
- Attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 1 year of experience required, with particular focus in the data space highly preferred
- Professional degree with experience in Finance required. MBA/ equivalent preferred.
- Should have Hands-on experience on data analytics tools like SQL, Alteryx and Tableau
