Regulatory Commitments Control Manager - Senior Associate

Join our Regulatory Commitments Team (RCT) within the Compliance & Operational Risk Team as part of the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Central Controls Office. This team is the unique provider of horizontal regulatory oversight and governance for the CIB, responsible for enhancing transparency and senior oversight of regulatory interactions, issues, and commitments.

As an Associate in the CIB Regulatory Commitments Team, you will provide analysis, guidance, and strategic thought leadership on regulatory processes. You will ensure operational readiness for regulatory issues and provide credible challenge prior to closure. Your role will involve identifying themes and regulatory trends, prioritizing commitments, and providing transparency to senior CIB Management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global RCT team members to maintain an up-to-date global tracker of CIB regulatory commitments and engagements.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with NAMR & LATAM Compliance, Control Management, and Business stakeholders.
  • Provide written and verbal communications to drive management awareness of regulatory initiatives and areas of concern.
  • Assist in managing significant NAMR & LATAM regulatory responses and updates, ensuring engagement across necessary CIB teams.
  • Provide advisory support to Control Managers for correct capture of regulatory findings into CORE.
  • Provide context and details for significant issues for Firmwide governance reporting.
  • Work with the global RCT team to identify and communicate themes and areas of future focus.
  • Ensure NAMR CIB Regulatory Keys pipeline is managed effectively by monitoring the global regulatory issue landscape.
  • Develop and lead ad hoc analysis, presentations, and projects as needed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Strong partnership and presence with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and influence senior firmwide and Business partners.
  • Executive-level analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Subject matter expertise in a relevant business-related function/operation.
