Join our team as a Regional Transaction Manager, where you will play a critical role in shaping and executing real estate strategies across the Americas. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive impactful real estate transactions and strategies.

As a Regional Transaction Manager within the Global Real Estate team, you will be responsible for supporting and formulating US Regional strategic real estate plans and executing leasing and disposal transactions. You will coordinate with internal and external partners to manage the end-to-end transaction process, ensuring alignment with JPMorgan Chase's strategic objectives, governance and controls

  • Work closely with the Regional leadership (Including Regional Lead, Regional Real Estate Strategy Managers, Functional Transaction Management Leadership and Functional Regional Portfolio Managers in preparing the real estate strategic plans. Coordinate closely with the various internal functional groups; finance, design & construction, real estate consultants, etc as appropriate in ensuring a holistic strategic plan
  • Independently manage and executes complex, large, and mid-size transactions with high level of proficiency and knowledge
  • Responsible for deal negotiations, including but not limited to lease term, rent, operating expenses, taxes, allowances as well as critical lease language and provisions required
  • For assigned transactions, manage the RFP process, selection of real estate consultancy; brokers and agents to support a real estate strategic plan and support a transactional requirement in an incentivized manner for the best interest of the Bank
  • Manage the building selection/RFP process for securing a location, due diligence, including coordination with the agent and the negotiations with developers/landlords
  • Manage the lease/purchase contract negotiations and documentation process in conjunction with the real estate consultant and legal counsel (internal and external)
  • Manage the lease and transaction reporting per regional and global requirements and to flag upcoming lease expiries in a timely manner. Ensure that all leases are renewed in a timely manner.
  • Act as champion for key real estate occupancy metrics; cost/sf, vacancy, etc
  • Support the development of the financial analyses in accordance with process
  • Provide support in the competitive landscape analysis e.g. portfolio pricing/positioning, etc stack vs market

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years work experience as a real estate transaction manager in a major multinational company, or in a principal real estate consultancy company
  • Demonstrated leadership experienced in managing complex transactions and working with high transaction volume
  • Proven skills in contract review and lease negotiations
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting impacts
  • Strong, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and able to understand and adhere to process
  • Strong real estate market knowledge in multiple countries across the Americas
  • Effective leadership, communication and collaborative skills
