As a Quant Analytics Associate within the Control Management Controls Room Team, you will be working closely with our cross-disciplinary team, creating innovative reporting solutions and performing complex analytics to support regulatory requests. Your work will provide the organization's senior leaders with analytical insights and other materials that draw attention to key areas of focus, facilitates discussion, and enhances senior leaders' decision-making. You'll design and develop cutting-edge analytical solutions that drive firmwide decision-making for both analytical and non-analytical audiences. As an integral part of the Controls Room team within the wider Control Management organization, your contributions will be critical to the firm's leaders in strategic planning and policy formulation.

Job responsibilities

  • Utilize technologies like Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau to design and develop efficient, repeatable data workflows and craft intuitive, insightful visualizations, playing a crucial role in operational risk data reporting.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and research to support special projects or initiatives, with an emphasis on business impact. Your ability to perform complex data analysis and report valuable insights will directly influence the efficiency and success of these projects.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to efficiently fulfill and validate data requests from regulatory entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Understand source data and perform meticulous validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of subsequent reports. This will aid in maintaining the credibility of our data and influence business-critical decisions made on the basis of these reports.
  • Facilitate dynamic and collaborative discussions with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to capture complex requirements and deliver innovative solutions. Your adept communication skills and forward-thinking approach will empower business leaders in shaping the organization's strategic direction.
  • Strive continuously to identify opportunities for process improvements and streamlined reporting, leading to a more agile response to business challenges.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience and Education: Your minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, coupled with a quantitative background (BA/BS in Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field), will be pivotal in providing industry-leading data solutions.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills: Advanced proficiency in self-service analytical tools, including Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and others, will empower you to develop complex data workflows and enhance our analytical capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will enable you to effectively engage and collaborate with individuals across diverse functional groups and hierarchical levels, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Business Acumen and Domain Knowledge: Understanding business operations and the organization's operating model will be critical in delivering impactful analysis and reports.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of complex functions, pivot tables, and macros, will enable you to perform intricate data analysis and automate repetitive tasks, improving overall efficiency.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts and experience in financial services is preferred
  • Experience with tools and scripting languages such as Python is a plus

Candidates must be able to physically work in our offices full-time (5 days). The specific details and timing will be determined and communicated by direct management.
