DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Work with the banking, technology, syndicate, and debt capital markets teams to deliver data-oriented solutions used department-wide to best serve our clients. Harness the value of proprietary and market data and streamlining workflows through managing the design, development, implementation and enhancements of existing and new systems. Drive digital transformation by identifying and implementing improvements to systems and processes. Lead cross-functional project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with banking, technology, syndicate, and debt capital markets teams to deliver data-oriented solutions that enhance client service. Oversee the entire development lifecycle of innovative applications, from initial concept and requirements gathering to deployment. Explore new data sources to identify opportunities for improving processes and delivering actionable insights. Design and develop innovative applications tailored to bankers' needs, utilizing advanced Python skills for data cleaning, integration, and preprocessing, while harnessing proprietary and market data to streamline workflows. Create and maintain reporting dashboards for management to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Develop automated reporting tools and self-service dashboards that allow stakeholders to access real-time data and insights. Manage system migrations from legacy systems to new platforms, ensuring necessary adjustments to support legacy application functions and compliance with regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Public Finance Digital Banking Platform, Investment Banking Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires 2 years of experience with: public finance investment banking, including municipal and public infrastructure clients, their debt portfolios, and M&A transactions. This position requires any amount of experience with: direct client interaction of public finance clients; tax-exempt capital markets, fixed income structuring, and valuation models; data exploration and analysis using SQL to query databases, identifying patterns, trends, and insights; developing and maintaining ETL processes using Python, Alteryx, or other methods to extract, transform, and load data into data visualization software; translating quantitative information into actionable insights that can be leveraged by both analytic and non-analytic staff; designing and developing interactive Excel and Powerpoint reports with advanced functionalities including vlookup, index match, data analysis add-ons, pivots, VBA and VBScript; developing and maintaining dynamic and interactive dashboards using Tableau or Qlik Sense leveraging advanced visualizations for business use; utilizing Bloomberg Terminal for analyzing municipal securities.
