Product Portfolio Operations Manager

As a Product Portfolio Operations Manager in Digital Channels, you are a foundational member of a team responsible for implementing connectivity strategies across the product space, while being directly responsible for creating structures that enhance coordination in our product line.

Job responsibilities

  • Works across products to help ensure delivery against business objectives while coordinating reporting and communications plans for portfolio management operations and change initiatives
  • Enables operational efficiency by supporting training, maturation, needs assessments, and continuous improvement practices
  • Drives adaptation and modification of our product-line framework to ensure cross-product priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs are realized
  • Implements a product-level collection strategy consisting of controls, financials, and resourcing needs
  • Owns all chief of staff responsibilities for the head of Digital Channels, inclusive of managing day-to-day operations
  • Drives the execution of top strategic initiatives across the Digital Channels organization
  • Acts as a thought partner to the Head of Digital Channels by identifying strategic gaps, connecting dots across workstreams and proactively identifying and flagging risks
  • Works across Area Product Groups to help ensure delivery against business objectives while owning tracking and execution against key milestones
  • Owns the operating rhythm for the Channels leadership team and the overall organization; ensures discussions are focused and able to drive real-time alignment
  • Helps manage headcount planning, budgeting and resource allocation in partnership with Finance and HR

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management or performance optimization
  • Proven ability to manage and implement operational effectiveness initiatives
  • Proven ability to operate within the product development life cycle and agile methodologies
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, including advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills - you can create compelling, eye-catching presentations and develop complex reports with little or no oversight
  • Strong relationship builder comfortable collaborating with and influencing Managing Director-level team members
  • Proven ability to manage and implement operational effectiveness initiatives
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to develop subject matter expertise in new subjects quickly

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Proven ability to operate within the product development life cycle and agile methodologies
  • Experience working in financial services
