Product Manager, Vice President - Financial Product Strategy
As a Product Manager in Consumer Bank, you are an integral part of the team that drives the Financial Product Strategy, innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end financial product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide exceptional value. Utilizing your deep understanding of market dynamics, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Job responsibilities
- Develop a product strategy and product vision that delivers exceptional value to customers.
- Collaborate with the Agile Product Owner/Team to develop new product features and specifications.
- Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Own, maintain, and develop a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
- Partner with Finance/Treasury in managing product pricing and rates to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal Marketing and external partners to establish effective marketing strategies.
- Monitor market trends and conduct competitor analysis to inform product development.
- Gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong connections with partners.
- Track key success metrics to assess product performance.
- Advocate for the voice of the customer in product discussions.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years of product / program management experience
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, including Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance metrics.
- Strike a balance between executing on customer experience and meeting business priorities and demands
- Highly organized and detail oriented with a structured/analytical approach to problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to work with senior management and ability to create / present / defend executive-level communications
- Team player with ability to build strong cross-business relationships and influence across lines of business, functional areas, product teams
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment, including ability to effectively prioritize, communicate, resolve and/or escalate issues
- Self-motivated individual that demonstrates initiative and leads with flexibility, adaptability, and reliability with minimal supervision
- Experience in risk management and regulatory compliance with relevant consumer regulations
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, drive and conviction
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 8+ years of Retail Banking / Financial Services experience
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Knowledge of Chase organization, processes, systems
- Experience in leading high-profile product initiatives or partnerships.
- Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Proven track record of driving product innovation and customer satisfaction
- Strong grasp of competitive landscapes, marketplace, and regulatory environment
