DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop, maintain, update, and implement the product roadmap, providing high-level direction. Collect input from users, stakeholders, and controls partners to define the features and functionality the product must have to meet the demands of users, stakeholders, and the marketplace. Study user needs and requirements to provide insights and direction for the needed product functions and features that will satisfy these needs. Understand the benefits, costs, and other trade-offs of potential options and then develop a final set of requirements. Define sprint goals, prioritize stories, and ensure the developer team aligns resources towards the high priority features. Act as a bridge between software developers and stakeholders, provide clarifications to developers and answer technical questions to ensure that developers implement features correctly. Identify and manage the order of tasks while considering task dependencies on work being conducted by other teams. Ensure work is completed in a way that is logical and resource efficient to minimize delays and maximize team efficiency. Ensure stakeholder needs are met and that they have a point of contact to provide input to the product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, IT Project Manager, Solution Manager, Software/Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, IT Project Manager, Solution Manager, Software/Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: overseeing the complete product management process from conceptualization to launch and subsequent product iteration; Ensuring the final product delivered meets stakeholder needs; prioritizing tasks to align with business value and stakeholders while ensuring efficient resource usage; delivering products using the Agile approach to the software development lifecycle; Managing a globally distributed team; Maximizing product value and progress under constrained decisions including considering factors such as cost, scope, time, and user impact; Managing expectations, negotiating scope, and communication to maintain support for product; managing multiple tasks simultaneously without impacts to quality; scheduling, prioritizing, and following-up on tasks to meet deadlines; explaining complex technical and business concepts to diverse stakeholders including business users and developers; directing embedded analytics teams to address business questions.
