DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Refine data access and data use product strategy and vision to deliver value to customers. Research existing and new innovative approaches to governance processes to inform how we design, plan and build services supporting data migration and data management activities, with coordination across data governance and data product delivery objectives. Identify customer requirements to be integrated into the product roadmap. Author detailed user journeys focusing on cross-section of business needs affecting how users gain access and use data, and how governance can be programmatically executed down to fine- grained access controls. Collaborate with engineering to refine requirements for efficient delivery, test features in pre-production environments against well-defined test use cases, and coordinate reviews and integration with customer business processes. Prioritize the backlog, provide business context across our product team and with tech. Prepare design materials, prototypes and training materials in partnership within key stakeholders to support end users, and balance feature delivery against technical non-functional requirements mandated by IT governance to ensure we offer highly performant solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, IT Project Manager, Software Engineer, Data Manager, Data Science/Analytics, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: working in product discovery, requirements refinement and backlog prioritization capacities supporting the product SDLC; creating and technically supporting data governance products and services or defining and executing data management processes; user requirements discovery and synthesizing ambiguous customer needs into clear product requirements; problem and solution framing using Word, PowerPoint, and Confluence; visual representation of problems and solutions using Visio and Lucid; data analysis and transformation using Excel, Alteryx, SQL Editor, Python, and Spark; Teradata; Snowflake; AWS and Oracle databases; assessing Java code for testing.

Job Location: 480 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310.

Full-Time. Salary: $182,000 - $201,000 -per year.
