As the Product Owner for the Data Management and Marketplace in the Asset and Wealth Management Chief Data Office, you will hold a vital role in managing the delivery of essential features within the data platform. Your responsibilities include steering the future direction of the AWM Data Marketplace. This involves comprehending the business and regulatory demands related to data storage, retention, destruction, data lineage, and data quality, and formalizing these into a standardized data contract. You will collaborate with technical teams and other product owners to convert these requirements into technical goals and milestones, while also conveying this vision to senior leadership.

Job responsibilities

  • Serves as the Product Owner for the Data Management and Marketplace within the Asset and Wealth Management Chief Data Office
  • Oversees the delivery of key capabilities within the data platform, including data retention & destruction, data quality tooling, data contracts and data marketplace
  • Leads the vision for the future direction of the above components within AWM Data Management
  • Works with cross-functional teams including data architects, engineers, analysts, and compliance specialists to ensure the successful delivery of data management capabilities
  • Understands business and regulatory requirements related to data storage, retention, and destruction, data lineage and quality and standardizing these elements into a formal data contract
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translates them into actionable plans for metadata management solutions
  • Champions key initiatives by implementing features that generate genuine business value
  • Effectively defines and prioritises the feature backlog
  • Works alongside industry experts and talented professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment and makes meaningful contributions that impact the organization's success
  • Managing scope, timelines and prioritization of projects and backlog, working closely with business stakeholders
  • Ensuring end-to-end delivery of product roadmap and priorities with collaboration across feature teams (identify and communicate cross-team dependencies and risks)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive Product delivery experience within data engineering or data platforms
  • Formal experience across IT product delivery disciplines
  • Thorough knowledge of technical processes
  • Proven experience of building strong, cohesive partnerships with key stakeholders at senior levels
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration among disparate teams and leverage existing and new relationships
