As the Head of Portfolio Management and Governance within the Chief Technology Office (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in driving the technological advancement of the firm through strategic initiatives and portfolio oversight and governance. This senior leadership position requires a blend of strategic thinking, program management expertise, and governance acumen to oversee complex technology solutions with broad and lasting implications across the organization. You will collaborate with CTO leadership and key stakeholders to establish practices that ensure transparency, strategic alignment, clear prioritization, and consistent execution of critical initiatives, aiming to achieve business objectives, meet regulatory and strategic imperatives, modernize technology platforms, and optimize resource and budget utilization.

- Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration
- Oversee complex technology project and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomes
- Guide the selection and implementation of appropriate technologies, platforms and software tools leveraging advanced technical fluency
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies
- Lead the implementation of significant, strategic, and complex CTO technology programs, ensuring alignment with GT strategic and firm-specific initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a governance and prioritization model for the CTO portfolio, driving investment decisions and ensuring transparency and accountability in project execution.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders by delivering concise and informative reports that articulate the value and impact of the portfolio.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and any changes to strategic priorities.
- Work closely with executive leadership, Finance and Business Management (F&BM) teams, and Global Technology (GT) portfolio governance functions to drive consistency in portfolio management, prioritization and execution.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions
- Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
- Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objective
- Establish a central program management function in order to disseminate best practices, toolkits, and standards for program management across the CTO organization to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.
- Develop and maintain a robust portfolio reporting framework that provides clear visibility into the status, progress, and performance of all strategic initiatives within the CTO portfolio.
- Expert knowledge of business processes across multiple lines of business and technology disciplines.
- Proven track record of managing high-performing teams on large and complex programs.
- Strong understanding of financial control, budget management, risk management, and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to create and support a collaborative culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
