As a Vice President within the Post Trade Governance Team, you will play a crucial role in managing projects aimed at enhancing our control environment and operational health. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, utilizing data-promotion insights to propose and implement effective solutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to reducing risk and improving efficiency, while promoting a collaborative and innovative team culture. We value your ability to communicate effectively, think creatively, and promote results. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer of our J.P. Morgan Securities LLC legal entity to ensure compliance and proper oversight of the current operational environment in accordance with regulations.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects of varying scale to improve operational health and control environments
  • Analyze large data sets to support data-driven decision making and propose impactful solutions
  • Identify and assess opportunities to enhance processes and address technology gaps
  • Design and implement both tactical and strategic solutions to strengthen controls
  • Present project progress and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate daily with business partners to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Escalate challenges and issues promptly to ensure timely resolution
  • Share regular status updates through meetings and concise documentation
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
  • Utilize intelligent automation tools to reduce manual processes and increase capacity

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a graduate program
  • Five years of relevant experience in related functions or businesses
  • Strong project management and business analysis skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated risk and control mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Ability to understand system and data flows to derive business insights

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of US banking regulations
  • Experience with intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, or Tableau
  • Experience presenting to senior management or executive forums
  • Prior experience in operational risk management or process improvement
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing control environments
