The Associate - Payments Product Control role focuses on supporting the Regional WP Product Control Manager in building a comprehensive view of the control and financial environment of the WP business across Spanish-speaking countries where WP products are offered. Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Support Regional WP Product Control Manager in building a comprehensive and broad picture of the control and financial environment of the WP business across the Spanish countries in which the business offer WP products.
- This includes interacting with teams from different locations to request information on financials, understanding material provided in a critical manner to ensure good quality information
- Support the execution of the new products agenda for the locations. This consists in attending calls and engaging in a variety of initiatives with global and regional teams
- Work with Operations to conduct analysis and understand controls, processes and activities performed in the locations in order to provide support for any ledger adjustment
- Support the oversight and monitoring of regulatory reporting (Corp & Local)
- Build and assemble content material and presentations for the different Finance, Risk and Liquidity forums
- Participate in Error Debrief sessions to discuss errors and risk events associated to the local businesses and functions, giving guidance on the posting of Op Losses and Concessions
- Navigate JP Morgan's systems
- Involvement in the month end / quarter end close process for TS products and appropriate communication of any significant issues arising through the appropriate chains.
- Detailed review of the monthly balance sheet and P&L, work in the monthly variances analysis template, preparation of monthly packages
- In depth reviews of the balance sheet to ensure appropriate accounting treatment (i.e. compliance to US and Local GAAP and Corporate Accounting Policy (CAP)), account classification and controls. Will involve oversight of results reported in the General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation (GLRS) tool to investigate, assess risk and help resolve reported exceptions.
- Work with Legal Entity Controllers and other controllership organizations to resolve inter-company breaks and accounting issues.
- To analyze data, variances, summarize results, bringing up trends to be presented to WP business through charts and presentations
- To be the point of contact for the Product Managers on each country for any query or information requirement

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Foreign Affairs or related
- Professional accounting qualification
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Good communication skills (written and oral)
- Knowledge of MS Office package (Mainly Power Point and Excel)
- Organized, with strong focus on controls and ability to be flexible and prioritize deliverables at all times, ability to deal with multiple tasks and requests
- 5+ years of accounting / financial experience
