Operations Governance and Risk Reporting Associate

As an Operations Governance and Risk Reporting Associate within the Securities Services Operations Governance and Controls team, you will report directly to the EMEA Operations Governance Lead and indirectly to the Lead for the Transaction Processing & Reporting (TPR) Risk Stripe. You will collaborate closely with key partners in Controls, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance, HR, and other governance teams in the region, and for certain aspects of your work, across global lines of business.
Job responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and facilitate monthly/quarterly governance meetings, including the production of monthly reports, drafting of minutes, and following up on open actions in a timely manner
- Maintain oversight of artefacts reported to Regional, CIB and TPR forums to ensure consistency of materials, appropriate escalations, and effective audit trails
- Maintain data feeds into dashboards and extracting data from systems, including CORE and RED2.0, in response to specific requests; conducting initial data analysis on the results
- Support the production of governance forum materials including for the EMEA Operations Management Meeting, CIB Operations Controls Forum and TPR Risk Stripe Community meeting
- Participate in automation and efficiency initiatives designed to streamline production and reporting of data and metrics with the aim of improving oversight of operational risks and controls within the EMEA region, TPR Risk Stripe and across CIB Operations/DPS Controls
- Take ownership for own objectives and team deliverables
- Complete tasks whilst prioritising and managing stakeholder expectations
- Ensure adherence to robust record-keeping and document storage standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- An understanding of the Financial Services industry
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate succinctly
- Experience in working collaboratively and sharing opinions
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels and across functions in a collaborative manner in order to achieve results
- High competency levels in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with using and analysis data in digital applications (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, Xceptor)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Fundamentals of good governance, including experience of the UK Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR)
- Essential principles of data management
- Experience in operational risk
- Products and markets knowledge
- Ability to influence and work with others to achieve stated objectives
