As a Business Development Manager in Merchant Services, you will be responsible for driving growth and expansion of our merchant services offerings by identifying new business opportunities within government entities, building strong relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet their unique merchant service needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead sales team to establish end-to-end sales and prospect opportunity pursuit planning strategies for new business sales.
- Drive pro-active and effective collaboration between Merchant Services and the Core sector teams.
- Execute and lead strong performance management discipline.
- Leverage expert cross-functional business knowledge, financial acumen, strong internal relationships, and exceptional leadership skills to make significant and impactful decisions
- Represent the \"voice of the client\" to Merchant Services product and manage revenue vulnerability and client loss through a deep understanding of the client's needs and identification of product and service delivery gaps
- Have demonstrated understanding of the business including financial performance benchmarks, key challenges and opportunities in the competitive landscape
- Apply financial and market analysis to support proposals for new business and renewals
- Be a Strategic thinker who supports the goals and direction of Merchant Services, Commercial Banking and the firm
- Demonstrate best in class communication skills, including influencing, negotiation and collaboration
- Lead by example, by applying a consultative selling approach to cultivate references and develop appropriate product solution recommendations as a player and coach to the team.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Possess 10+ years of relevant experience in sales, client management, or relationship management
- Demonstrate management experience of a sales and/or relationship management team
- Exhibit proven leadership, management, execution, coaching, and influencing skills, particularly at the C-Level
- Develop and build collaborative partnerships across lines of business (X-LOB) with key stakeholders to achieve firm-wide objectives
- Achieve proven success in active leadership and direct management of a geographically dispersed sales team
- Demonstrate experience in cross-selling products and a track record of meeting or exceeding product penetration goals
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients
- Utilize data and information to drive business results, make compelling recommendations, and inform effective decision-making
- Apply financial and market analysis experience to support proposals for new business and renewals
- Maintain a strong executive presence and experience speaking in public forums.
- Possess strong knowledge and understanding of the Merchant Services business model, products, and services, with an emphasis on the US market and competitive landscape
- Up to 50% Travel Required
