As an Associate in Markets Asset Servicing within Markets Operations, you will manage end‑to‑end income event activities-dividends, coupons, and redemptions-and ensure timely, accurate processing. You will reconcile cash, stock, and related breaks; resolve payable and receivable claims; and uphold controls, procedures, and service levels. You will partner with internal teams and external parties to remove blockers, eliminate aging items, and improve quality and productivity. You will also contribute to documentation, cross‑training, and change initiatives that strengthen operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Complete pre‑event reconciliations and pay‑date processing for income events to avoid P&L and client impact.
  • Resolve payable and receivable claims (e.g., stock borrow/loan, market‑failed dividends/bonds, coupons, repo) with internal and external parties.
  • Reconcile cash, wash, suspense, and control account breaks; match off accurately; prevent items aging beyond policy; and remediate feed issues end‑to‑end.
  • Serve as the escalation point for internal stakeholders and clients; ensure effective service coverage and timely updates.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned functions and share knowledge to strengthen team capability.
  • Identify control gaps and drive process re‑engineering and automation to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain procedures and job aids; ensure adherence to policies, controls, and regulatory expectations.
  • Support transformation and change initiatives; influence outcomes with data‑driven recommendations.
  • Deliver quality and productivity improvements; track and report performance against targets.
  • Contribute to cross‑training and role rotation to build resiliency and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Partner with global teams to align practices and communicate changes clearly.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in asset servicing (income or corporate actions) or market operations.
  • Proficiency with data transformation and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau or equivalents).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; independently identify, escalate, and resolve complex issues with sound judgment.
  • Effective teamwork and adaptability; collaborate across functions and seniority levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills.
  • Ability to partner with internal teams, clients, and third‑party providers to achieve outcomes.
  • High attention to detail; delivers accurate outputs under tight timelines.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive change to goals and deadlines.
  • Strong organization and prioritization across concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort with new tools.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Understanding of development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall); able to lead across approaches.
  • Business analytics or project management certifications.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath).
  • Familiarity with global market operations and industry trends.
  • Experience documenting processes and controls, including SOPs and desk procedures. FINRA Series 99 is a plus (not required).
