As an Associate in the EMEA Location Control Management Support Team, you will support the governance and operational risk management efforts across Belgium, France, Italy, and The Netherlands. You will collaborate with us to enhance the control framework and ensure effective governance for outsourcing activities. Job Responsibilities:
- Compose materials for governance meetings from required data sources and stakeholders.
- Align with internal stakeholders and source submissions from various lines of business and functional group representatives across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
- Collate required operational risk, control, and regulatory data for reporting from firmwide systems.
- Review and analyze external complaints to enable oversight activities by internal stakeholders.
- Partner with the Location Control Management Team on the oversight and screening of regulatory and legal landscapes.
- Assist in standard or ad-hoc requests evolving from audits, operational risk management, or compliance monitoring and testing activities.
- Ensure effective governance for outsourcing, including Inter-Affiliate Oversight and Third-Party Oversight.
- Act as an advisory function to local contacts regarding the outsourcing of activities and processes.
- Support control-related regulatory deliverables across locally and regionally aligned functions.
- Collaborate on strategic initiatives enhancing the control framework.
- Support the Location Control Management Team with strategic initiatives enhancing the control framework.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Excellent team player with partnering skills who can work closely with peers and changing stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and can make constructive observations.
- Talented with organizational skills, allowing work on different tasks with high focus on quality deliverables.
- Investigative mindset, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail, and understand applicability across the business.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Preference for process design and re-engineering on standing control programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in different forms and details based on the audience.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Previous experience in banking and controls environment would be beneficial.
- Good judgment and poise to identify risks and escalate where required.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Alteryx skills would be beneficial.
- Confident in communicating and partnering with stakeholders.
- French and/or Italian language skills would be beneficial but not mandatory.
