As a Loan Servicing Analyst in our Financial Services team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial New Market Tax Credit construction loans. This role involves understanding and administering loans in accordance with the loan agreement, bank policy, and established procedures. You will also be required to regularly update and use the Loan Disbursement program to oversee the assigned loan portfolio. Job Responsibilities
- Managing a substantial portfolio of diverse commercial New Market Tax Credit construction loans, characterized by complex credits with multiple collateral, pricing options, participating banks, Community Development Entities, and equity partners.
- Reviewing, understanding, and administering loans in accordance with the loan agreement, third-party servicing agreement, bank policy, and established procedures.
- Provide regular updates and use of the Loan Disbursement program to oversee the assigned loan portfolio.
- Processing loan funding, handling interest rate changes, managing insurance.
- Monitoring and reconciling bank-controlled reserve accounts, handling loan billing and payoffs, managing collateral releases.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Working knowledge of commercial construction loan disbursements, project accounting, risk management, and loan documentation
- Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and discuss with management and senior staff bank policy and disbursement risk issues
- Minimum 3 years as a real estate construction disbursement analyst
- Knowledge of legal documentation and terminology relating to real estate transactions.
- Knowledge of title insurance, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to deal with the public, in person and by telephone, in a personable manner.
- Ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Finance or Accounting degree or minimum 3 years as a real estate construction disbursement analyst
