Job Summary
As a Loan Origination Specialist in the Small Business Lending team, you will review approvals, documentation, and due diligence to ensure loans are closed accurately and securely. You will help protect both our clients and the bank by preparing thorough documentation and supporting the loan process.

Job Responsibilities

• Review commercial credit application packages for adherence to credit policy and required due diligence
• Examine business entity and organizational documents, including trust agreements and UCC searches
• Coordinate and review equipment valuations and other necessary reports
• Evaluate collateral and verification reports to ensure credit approval terms are met
• Prepare loan and compliance documentation to protect the bank's interests
• Serve as a primary liaison between the Business Relationship Manager and Credit Coordinator
• Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate before closing
• Communicate effectively with internal and external partners
• Maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Support process improvements and risk mitigation
• Work independently to manage multiple loan files

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• 1 year of experience preparing commercial loan, SBA, or mortgage loan documents
• Experience with collateral and entity due diligence for commercial loans
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and PC skills
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume, production-oriented environment
• College degree, paralegal, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Advanced knowledge of commercial loan documentation
• Experience with SBA loan processes
• Familiarity with compliance documentation
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience supporting process improvements
• Proven track record in risk mitigation
