Loan Accounting - Product Owner - Senior Associate

As a Loan Accounting - Product Owner - Senior Associate within the Product Management team, you will have the opportunity to partner with the Business to elicit, analyze, and validate business needs. You will serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users, analyze requirements, and create process models to guide developers and project teams. Your role will involve managing resources and priorities, communicating changes, and participating in quality assurance to ensure optimal solutions. You will also handle business reengineering, large data handling, and problem-solving, while mentoring team members and contributing ideas for improvement.

Job responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and validate the business needs. Serve as liaison between stakeholders and users
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
  • Create process models, specifications, diagram, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project teams. Effectively manage competing resources and priorities.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and key stakeholders
  • Participates in the QA of solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized
  • Handle Business reengineering, large data handling and problem-solving skills. Logical acumen with keen attention to detail.
  • Create and deliver functional training on products/modules. Mentor team from a functional perspective to ensure delivery of the module.
  • Contribute ideas / areas requiring improvements/best practices based on project implementation, team feedback etc.
  • Identifying alternatives, options, and different ways of looking at issues/problems and to seek alternative scenario's
  • Identify changes to processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Develops personas either alone or in conjunction with a team including user experience experts.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years experience including minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or loan servicing work, for commercial lending or experience in a Back office/Financial industry
  • In depth understanding of commercial Lending (vendor) applications like Finastra Loan IQ, FIS -ACBS and other market leading commercial lending platforms
  • Strong product knowledge/hands on experience and domain expertise on commercial lending operations, E2E process/loan life cycle
  • Advanced technical, analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to the process
  • Knowledge of investment banking products including Loans
  • Interest and understanding of project management techniques and business analysis. Commercial awareness, time management and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Candidates with knowledge of loan systems like Loan IQ, ACBS will be an added advantage
