The opportunity is to join the Legal Entity Control (LEC) team based in London as part of Global Finance and Business Management. The LEC team are based in London, Mumbai and Warsaw and are primarily responsible for the oversight of legal entities in the UK and ensuring that a strong control environment exists as it relates to all businesses, products and operational areas that impact the UK financial statements.
As a Legal Entity Controller Analyst with in UK LEC team, you will be responsible for for key Legal Entity regulatory (US and UK) and internal Management Information deliverables. You will ensure the integrity and accuracy of the US GAAP financial statements and regulatory returns, however a key aspect will be coordinating and reviewing information requests across Finance and other functions that contribute to UK LEC's submission of external and internal financial information.

Job responsibilities
- Run monthly review of financial balances with business analysis and commentary for senior management
- Run standalone US regulatory reporting to the Federal Reserve Bank
- Provide supplemental financial information for Corporate Reporting.
- Develop an understanding of Markets & Banking Lines of business, specifically in P&L and Balance sheet reporting
- Develop and foster good working relationships with other departments in the bank including Product Control, Financial Control, Corporate Financial Reporting, Tax and UK Regulatory Reporting.
- Act as point of contact for businesses with queries on financial matters. Building relationships across Lines of Business
- Work closely with the Global LEC team based across London and Mumbai
- Prepare various management reports including Monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis to be reviewed with the EMEA CFO
- Run FX Tradeout
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- The applicant will be expected to study towards becoming a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
- Basic understanding of investment bank financial accounting and products.
- Ability to work under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical ability, being able to discuss legal entity and business results and issues with management and various stakeholders across the Firm.
- Attention to detail whilst being cognizant of materiality levels.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Control focus mind-set at all times, whilst respectively challenging the status quo.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of automation and visualisation tools (Alteryx, Tableau) is an advantage
- Previous experience of working on projects or project management is an advantage
