As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking Technology group for the Equity Derivatives Sales Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Interface directly with business unit sponsors on requirement analysis
- Work with subject matter experts to develop solutions that meet business the business requirements.
- Develop java services integrated in the end to end processing of the derivative products.
- Build a stable, efficient, scalable cloud based solution which will be deployed globally.
- Design and code a significant amount of a robust, secure and efficient API to persist / retrieve data and implement the business logic
- Participate in code reviews and sharing of knowledge with other members of the team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- To degree level, ideally in a computer science, mathematical or engineering discipline or equivalent
- 8+ years of hands-on experience on Java.
- Good knowledge in equity derivatives products and business
- Familiar with Microservices architecture and Cloud-based technology
- Experience of messaging e.g. AMQ, Tibco .etc.
- Strong OO design skills with good knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.
- Ability to solve complex problems and a track record of high performance and delivery.
- Strong communication and team-working skills and Senior Stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter , delivery focused , strong experience on Agile programming
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to NoSQL systems (Cassandra, MongoDB .etc.)
- Agile development techniques
