As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within US Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop AI models and algorithms to address complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct research to stay abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize AI models on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Engineer the control plane for provisioning, automation, scaling, integrations, and self-service, making it accessible to thousands of applications.
- Create intuitive user interfaces for AI-driven products using React.Utilize Java for robust and scalable backend development.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of AI projects.
- Proficiency in React for front-end development and Java or python for backend development.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda. Infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly with Terraform.
- Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with data processing and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Formal training or certification in Python, with advanced proficiency.
- Practical experience in architecting and developing applications on major public cloud providers
- Industry cloud certifications are a bonus.
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Prior financial or banking experience is a plus.
- Experience SRE, Security, Observability & Performance as part of all owned applications/deliverables is a plus..
- Certifications and Methodologies: Formal training in Python and experience with Agile methodologies are highlighted, along with infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Full stack application development experience is plus. Preferably REACT
