As a Lead Software Engineer within the Public Cloud Enablement and Adoption team at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your core responsibilities will include developing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm's business objectives. The ideal candidate for this position will be a Subject Matter Expert with extensive domain knowledge in engineering and delivering complex multi-tenant and multi-cloud solutions at scale. You should also demonstrate proficiency in developing and applying security-centric and well-architected frameworks across one or more cloud service providers.

Job responsibilities
- Develops secure and high-quality production code using reusable patterns/frameworks for cloud solutions.
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems
- Reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Python, Terraform, Java.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Experience with development and application of Cloud well architected frameworks.
- Experience in solution enablement of complex multi-tenant and multi-cloud solution.
- Knowledge of Data & AI/ML application of industry standards for regulatory compliance.
- Experience with implementing security best practices in cloud environments, particularly in financial services.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to AI and cloud computing in the banking industry (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Financial Services Industry experience is preferred.
- Expert in Data & AI/ML cloud solution stacks on AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
- Expert in AWS, Azure and/or GCP Well Architected Frameworks.
- Experience in building cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience in building AI-driven solutions, particularly using Generative AI, encompassing data collection and processing to model development, training, fine-tuning and evaluation.
