As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms supporting Core Payments, you apply deep knowledge of Oracle Database administration, encompassing both public (AWS) and private cloud environments, along with proficiency in diverse technologies such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, CockroachDB, MongoDB, Kubernetes, software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise. This role will be a Technical lead in APAC, covering both India and Singapore to lead engagement with Core Payments leadership in both countries.

Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Strong experience working with Oracle multiple versions in a Linux environment
- Strong, proven Oracle Database Performance Diagnostic skills (at both the SQL and system levels)
- Lead engagement with line of business APAC production management regional leaders and lead a team of technical SMEs in APAC
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise
- Possess deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product
- Expert experience administering various multi-Terabyte, 24x7 uptime Oracle databases as a Systems/Infrastructure Database Administrator required
- Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Golden Gate replication
- Experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), architecting, supporting and implementing advanced, strategic database management system
- Experience in migrating from on prem to AWS RDS and Aurora required
- Experience in handling Goldengate hub Microservice architecture and migration using Goldengate hub
- Knowledge in Terraform required
- Experience in architecting and migrating the databases from Oracle to Oracle and non-oracle like Postgres and other related databases
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, with a background in systems and network administration
- Scripting skill Python, Perl, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell and experience with Microservices is desirable
- Strong experience in managing multiple applications for all the backend database related activities in multiple database flavors.
- Experience in guiding and mentoring the team
