As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you play a crucial role in developing top-tier cybersecurity solutions for diverse software applications utilizing modern cloud-based technologies. As a key technical contributor, your responsibilities include implementing essential cybersecurity architecture solutions by identifying risks, creating mitigation strategies, and communicating solutions across various technical domains within different business functions to support project objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Foster a strong security culture by collaborating with product, technology, and business teams, prioritizing sustainable controls and real risk reduction, and embedding security fundamentals like threat modeling and secure architecture into agile development.
- Develop deep knowledge of your product's strategy, roadmap, and investment programs, proactively learning unfamiliar technologies and business concepts, and becoming a subject matter expert in its cyber risk posture.
- Serve as your product's security thought leader by sharing best practices, learning from both product and cybersecurity teams, and acting as the main escalation point for IT Risk and Cybersecurity matters.
- Respond swiftly to emerging issues by proactively monitoring Key Risk Indicators, ensuring timely identification, communication, and management of risks, and providing recommendations and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate and influence across the product's supply chain, working with internal teams and third-party vendors to manage technology risk, especially in public cloud environments, and supporting secure and resilient product design and deployment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Cybersecurity concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Risk and controls working experience, specifically in application controls
- Proficiency in secure designing or architecting Payment HSMs and PCI , AWS cloud experience.
- Understanding of Public Cloud computing, especially how controls are applied to secure data, ensure resiliency and availability.
- APIs, micro-services oriented architectures.
- Ability to collaborate on, and/or lead, ad hoc teams for control architecture and design
- Experience translating firmwide policy or regulatory requirements into control design and definition for Software Engineers and Solutions Architects
- Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable, in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Manage to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Deep knowledge of one or more software and applications
- Experience in building, architecting or designing secure financial services consumer businesses (i.e., Mortgages, Cards or Digital)
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
- Experience effectively communicating with senior business leaders
- Thinks in terms of risks and outcomes, and able to translate those into actions required to achieve business and technology goals
