- Design and implement cloud-based solutions that optimize resource usage and cost efficiency, with a focus on both architecture design and hands-on coding.
- Develop and maintain architecture standards, including cloud resource management and governance frameworks.
- Build and maintain pipelines for cost optimization, ensuring efficient data flow and processing.
- Develop an optimization and recommendation engine to enhance cost efficiency within the Cloud Financial Management organization.
- Collaborate with domain teams to understand their cloud needs and provide guidance on best practices for cloud solution development.
- Leverage AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue) to build scalable and secure cloud solutions, actively engaging in coding and development.
- Utilize AWS Step Functions to automate complex business processes, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Implement governance and security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Write and analyze Splunk queries to interpret AWS CloudTrail logs, ensuring robust monitoring and security.
- Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write efficient and scalable code for data processing and analysis.
- Exposure to Data Lake or Big Data technologies, with familiarity in working with large-scale data storage solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, including the ability to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and Glue.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Experience in producing technical documentation and/or user guides, with the ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive materials for various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build architecture solutions, with hands-on coding and development experience.
- Experience in cost optimization strategies and building pipelines and engines for resource efficiency.
- Experienced in using AWS Step Functions to automate complex business processes.
- Experienced in writing Splunk queries to analyze AWS CloudTrail logs.
