Latam and Canada Compensation VP

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Compensation Vice President to join our Americas ex US Compensation Team. This role will be pivotal in managing compensation relationships with key countries such as Brazil, Canada, and Chile, and will serve as the primary contact for Line of Business (LoB) Compensation Partners, specially within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and nurture relationships with HR Country heads in Brazil, Canada, and Chile and other key countries, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate objectives.
  • Serve as the main contact for LoB Compensation Partners within CIB, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in the region, including planning currency reviews for Brazil and delivery currency strategies for incentive compensation in other countries.
  • Provide strategic solutions and expert advice to the business and HR Business Advisors by combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of business needs, market landscape, and detailed analysis.
  • Analyze regional compensation trends and conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with regional compensation regulations and standards.
  • Participate actively in global working groups, ensuring regional presence and representation in global initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Pay Equity regulations across the region.

Qualifications:

  • Strong regional knowledge of compensation practices and regulations in the Americas.
  • Proven experience in HR/Compensation or Finance, with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to lead and drive strategic initiatives across multiple countries.
