As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking Self-Service Enablement team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of agentic applications using LLMs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable and resilient applications
  • Ensure strong observability and monitoring of applications to maintain high performance and reliability
  • Deploy applications on AWS, ensuring optimal configuration and security
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes and practices
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Self-Service Enablement team

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficient programming skills in at least one language such as Java or Python
  • In-depth knowledge of agentic applications using LLMs
  • Experience in deploying applications on AWS
  • Proven track record in building and designing scalable, resilient applications with strong observability
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 plus years of experience in software development and leadership roles

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to Agentic frameworks such as (Langchain, Langgraph, RASA, Parlant, Decagon, etc.)
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving innovation
  • Familiarity with modern development practices and tools
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and business needs
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices
