International ALM Risk Governance and Regulatory Associate

Join our International Asset & Liability Management Risk function, based in London. You will support the Head of International Asset & Liability Management Risk with respect to liquidity, structural interest rate risk and FTP related governance, control and regulatory matters impacting JPM's international legal entities across EMEA, APAC and LATAM.

As an International ALM Risk Governance and Regulatory Associate within the Risk Management and Compliance function, you will help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. Job responsibilities

  • Manage and organize governance and regulatory activities related to legal entity level Liquidity Risk, Structural Interest Rate Risk and Funds Transfer Pricing (e.g. policy and procedure updates)
  • Participate in and where appropriate lead projects that impact across International Asset & Liability Management Risk
  • Identify and implement innovation/ automation across International Asset & Liability Management related tools and practices to unlock greater efficiencies, effectiveness and best practice across the regional teams.
  • Support local and regional Chief Risk Office teams by producing consistent input to management/ Board level/ regulatory reporting, liaising with Firmwide and regional International Asset & Liability Management teams as appropriate.
  • Support cross-risk initiatives and engagements including training and any local/ regional Control Management requirements.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in risk management, compliance, audit or other relevant field;
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build strong partnerships and grow and develop more junior colleagues
  • Ability to balance and execute multiple projects at once and deliver results under time constraints with attention to detail
  • Intellectually curious with well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills, a high level of self-initiative and the ability to handle ambiguity
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication with the ability to edit and prepare executive level communication

  • Liquidity/treasury risk experience and knowledge of quantitative, financial and risk management techniques and systems.
