Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
- Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in Infra engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands on experience in Linux,UNIX and Windows, application/middleware support knowledge.
- Experience with Automation and Configuration tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef .
- Experience with scripting & programming languages like Python/Java.
- Experience in handling critical application outages in an large scale operations & driving root cause analysis and remediation.
- Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting and responding - relative to performance and availability of application, using tools such as Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Splunk.
- Experience with Jenkins, GIT and CI/CD pipelines, Agile and Scrum practices.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of concepts and principles behind DevOps and SRE.
- Familiar with cloud Engineering & understanding of private cloud principles and exposure to public cloud offerings such as AWS/Azure/Google cloud or similar technology is preferred
