As a Delivery Manager Vice President in HR Vendor Management, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced delivery manager to lead and oversee our third-party vendor relationships and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vendor management, project management, and operations, with a passion for process optimization and data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for managing vendor activities from negotiations through onboarding, steady-state, and offboarding, ensuring seamless collaboration with external partners. Your excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills will be essential in driving strategic initiatives and achieving organizational goals. Job responsibilities:

  • Vendor Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire vendor relationship lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and supplier development. Manage contract renewals to ensure continuity and compliance.
  • Vendor Assessment and Compliance: Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring all vendor activities comply with company standards and policies. Implement strong controls to maintain high compliance levels.
  • Process Optimization: Ensure all processes related to Third-Party Oversight, Model Governance, Data Use, and AI/Machine Learning are followed. Manage cost centers, purchase orders, and vendor payments to align with contractual agreements.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Line of Business (LOB) leaders and executive stakeholders to align vendor activities with organizational goals.
  • Performance and Risk Monitoring: Conduct regular vendor audits, KPI reporting, and performance evaluations. Develop improvement plans and conduct bi-annual business reviews to ensure vendor performance meets expectations.
  • Operational Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations and improve service delivery, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies.
  • GSM Policy Execution: Execute the requirements set forth in the Global Supplier Management (GSM) Policy and Standards for each engagement where designated as the Delivery Manager.
  • Supplier Risk Management: Monitor and manage supplier risks, controls, performance, and compliance with contract terms. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Risk and Issue Escalation: Escalate supplier risks and issues to appropriate channels, including the JPMC Supplier Notifications mailbox, LOB Control Manager, and others as applicable. Address location-related supplier oversight issues with the Local Operational Risk and Control Committee (LORCC) or equivalent.
  • Operational Risk Monitoring: Use the firm's Operational Risk tool to monitor supplier risks and issues, ensuring adherence to the firm's CORE procedures.
  • Risk Assessment and Documentation: Identify, assess, and document risks associated with engagements. Validate information where possible and ensure thorough documentation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple vendor relationships effectively.
  • Experience in reporting and data analysis to provide consolidated views of vendor engagements.
  • High-level communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working with Executive Directors (EDs) and Managing Directors (MDs), and capable of creating professional presentations to showcase vendor portfolios, costs, and spend.
  • Ability to listen to multiple perspectives and resolve conflict in a way that maintains healthy relationships between stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to understand and support the needs of diverse projects across an organization and anticipate how one action may impact another.
  • Confidence to offer ideas and solutions, and to question the validity of information.
  • Good people-management skills; ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization and impart knowledge and experience in an accessible and clear manner.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and strong understanding of contract management and compliance.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Prior experience in Vendor Management.
  • Strong Contract Negotiation Skills.
  • Financial Analysis Skills, familiarity with supply chain management and logistics.
  • Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in vendor management.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a large, complex organization.
  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field.
