Job Summary
As a Pre-Purchase Analyst in the Home Lending Correspondent Division, you will ensure loan files meet investor mortgage guidelines and regulatory requirements and be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our loan documentation process. . You will work closely with team members to uphold high standards of quality and production, adapting to changes in the lending environment. This role offers the chance to leverage your expertise in mortgage guidelines and regulatory requirements, contributing to the success of our team and the wider community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review loan files to ensure documentation meets investor mortgage guidelines, including Agency, FHA, VA, Seconds, and Non-Agency requirements.
  • Accurately enter loan information into the Loan Origination System (LOS), Encompass.
  • Communicate with external partners and internal colleagues to resolve issues and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of quality and production.
  • Adapt to changes in the lending environment and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor while interacting with colleagues and clients.
  • Serve as a culture carrier, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Flexibility in assisting in other areas as needed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage process and loan documentation, including Agency, FHA, VA, Seconds, and Non-Agency guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements related to mortgage lending.
  • Basic Office and Computer Skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation review.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Strong analytical skills and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and respectfully with team members.
  • Flexible and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and production.
  • Ability to work on-site during business hours.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role within the mortgage industry.
  • Familiarity with the Loan Origination System (LOS), Encompass.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high standards of quality and production.
