Governance & Control Associate
Join our team as a Governance & Control Associate, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the organization. Leverage your analytical skills and attention to detail to help drive effective risk management and strengthen our firm's control environment.
As a Governance & Control Associate within the Financial Analysis Governance team, you will be responsible for maintaining proper control documentation, ensuring compliance and hygiene of documentation, and providing high responsiveness to project management requests. You will communicate effectively with business partners, coordinate meetings, and manage stakeholder relations while enhancing controls and streamlining processes.
Job responsibilities:
- Maintain proper control documentation for procedures in line with Firmwide standards.
- Ensure documentation across the groups stays compliant and maintain overall hygiene of our documentation repository.
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests related to project management and presentation development.
- Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps.
- Coordinate team meetings/events and prepare materials for stakeholder meetings.
- Collect and maintain internal resources and documentation on collaboration sites, like SharePoint and Confluence.
- Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global team members, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing processes.
- Manage relations, communicating and presenting to various levels of stakeholders.
- Escalate issues as needed to the appropriate team(s) and management.
- Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 3+ years of work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
- Excellent organization, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience developing and delivering high-quality presentations for various projects and stakeholders, with strong attention to detail and design excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and support change.
- Proven track record of executing special projects or assignments with minimal lead time or information.
- Team player, respected as a trusted partner for Business, Finance, and FP&A teams.
- Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Preferred experience in Financial Services.
