Global Technology Data Librarian - Cyber and Technology Control Team - Vice President

As the Global Technology Data Librarian within the Cyber and Technology Control Team, you will play a critical role in managing, organizing, and safeguarding data assets. You will ensure that data is catalogued, accessible, and governed in line with our firm's standards, enabling effective risk management and cyber operation. You will enable us to leverage AI tools and techniques to extract new insights from data, supporting proactive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

o Data Cataloguing & Organization - Determine a suitable inventory platform to maintain cyber and technology control data assets and implement metadata standards and classification schemes to ensure data is easily discoverable and usable.

o Data Governance & Compliance - Ensure data management practices comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

o Data Quality & Integrity- Monitor data quality, completeness, and accuracy and work with stakeholders to ensure all data generated by CTC teams is correctly catalogued and organised in the central repository.

o AI-Driven Data Insights - Collaborate with data scientists and cyber analysts to develop models and dashboards that inform strategic decisions and translate AI-generated insights into actionable recommendations for the cyber and technology control team.

o Collaboration & Training - Serve as a subject matter expert for data management within the cyber and technology control domain driving best practices by providing training and guidance to team members on data cataloguing and governance.

o Process Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance data management and analytics processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, security, and the value derived from data assets.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in either, Library Science, Information Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience in data management, cataloguing, or library science.
  • Experience with data cataloguing tools, databases, and information management systems
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
  • Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results focused environment
  • Strong project time management skills to meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in data management, cataloguing, or library science, preferably within a technology or cybersecurity environment.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, public services, healthcare).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of cyber risk management and technology control frameworks.
