Global Security - Critical Facilities Security Manager

The Global Security (GS) Team provides security protection, investigation, resiliency and crisis management services in support of JPMorganChase, its employees, customers, assets, and facilities throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, Security Guard management, alarm response, branch and corporate building security, customer safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety.

As a Divisional Security Director at JPMorgan Chase, you will lead the planning and execution of security programs at critical facilities in EMEA, with the opportunity to develop and implement enhanced security protocols, procedures, and policies to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities. Serving as the Global Security liaison to the LOB site leadership teams within the region, you will oversee the physical security of critical facilities such as data centers in the EMEA region. This role offers the chance to lead and shape a specialized security program in a dynamic and challenging environment, requiring a thoughtful security background, technical understanding of security elements, and the ability to manage and develop security policies and procedures. You will work closely with security guard forces, controls professionals, law enforcement, and senior management to ensure a secure and compliant environment. If you are passionate about security and have the knowledge and expertise in managing a large physical security program, this role is for you. Your responsibilities will involve travel with occasional overnight stays, providing you with the opportunity to promote programs that achieve both business and security program objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee security operations at data centers, ensuring compliance with security protocols and standards.
  • Create, develop, and refine security policies and procedures to enhance security measures and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments of sites, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead and manage security guard forces, ensuring effective performance and adherence to security protocols.
  • Communicate complex security elements to controls professionals, law enforcement, and senior management.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response programs, ensuring readiness and effective incident management.
  • Support security infrastructure projects at assigned properties.
  • Be available for after-hours response to emergency incidents.

Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • College degree from an accredited university and 8 years of security management experience.
  • Hands on experience in performing risk analysis, identifying vulnerabilities, conducting threat modelling, and performing security reviews
  • Advanced analytical skills, decision making capability, strong critical thinking and high degree of comfort in fast-paced dynamic/ambiguous environment operating with initiative from the strategic to tactical level
  • Attention to detail and delivery oriented, able to effectively plan and track to prescribed timeline, excellent follow-through
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to work with multiple teams, including the ability to effectively lead a team or work unit
  • Hands on experience in performing risk analysis, identifying vulnerabilities, and performing security reviews
  • Knowledge of physical security technology systems and strong familiarity with physical and procedural security concepts
  • Self-starter and motivated, flexible and comfortable working with multiple competing timelines and able to operate with limited supervision
  • Effective ability to communicate in a concise manner both in speaking writing and leveraging Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Travel within the EMEA region, with occasional international travel as needed
